Kristin Redmond is the owner of Social Hair Studio & Gentlemen’s Groomers. Her journey into the hair industry began in 2007, graduating and receiving her cosmetology license locally in Ft. Myers, Florida. She quickly became interested in becoming an educator, mentor and salon owner. Her career grew successful from behind the chair with the support and word of mouth of her clientele. Kristin established her first salon in downtown Ft. Myers river district, Scene 826 Hair Studio with a business partner in October 2013. Her passion in the beauty industry is fierce and being great is her mantra. She enrolled back into school in 2016 and received her master barber license. The excitement to start another chapter in her career and have the opportunity to gain more clientele flourished. Becoming a barber and providing traditional shaves meant bringing back an old tradition that had once been lost but has recently made a comeback. Kristin aspired to have a barber shop for gentlemen to have a place of their own. Scene 826 Hair Studio’s lease had expired and she went on to open Social Hair Studio & Gentlemen’s Groomers solely in 2018. Her studio accommodates men, woman and children, providing a barber shop area for the gentlemen and a salon atmosphere for the women. Kristin continues to grow her team, ‘The Social Squad’ and mentors each stylist one on one to ensure educated professionals are providing quality services.
